The Food Security Meme From the RGS 2010 conference ‘Confronting the Challenges of the Post-Crisis Global Economy and Environment’.
This presentation was given at the Big Tent Festival, Fife in July 2010. It is by Kirtana Chandrasekaran, Food Campaigner for Friends of the Earth and Food Sovereignty programme co-ordinator / Friends of the Earth International. It perfectly aligns the issues about food re-localisation with the issues of food sovereignty. Highly recommended.

It is by Teresa Martinez, a Fife Diet member and the co-ordinator of the One Planet Food project which has been maping the food system in Fife for the past year in research funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Trust. The report tracks the potential for a sustainable and equitable food system.
This research was developed by the Sustainable Development Commission in the UK. It contains the first official attempts to map out advice to governments on what a sustainable and healthy diet might look like.
