lynndelite2We are delighted to today launch our Fife Food Map at the brand new deli, Delight, in Kinghorn with Lynn McKenzie, the delicatessens proud owner (pictured, right).

They are stocking the best selection of local and continental cheese, meats, and fine foods from small artisan producers in Fife, Scotland and beyond.

Items like Chillicious, Anster Cheese, Puddledub Pork products, Cochrane’s Kitchen from Kirkcaldy (jams, chutneys), Fife muesli, Dip Nation and some lovely new Kinghorn bread(!).

Check them out on Facebook here.

Of course there are great locations up and down the Kingdom. Here are some random delights from the map:

Muddy Boots: not just a farm shop but a play area, cafe and loads of activities (zorbing anyone?). The shop stocks fruit and veg fresh from the farm, plus local meats, juices, jams and sauces and home baking. Go find out more here.

Little Herb Farm (‘Sow Many Herbs, So Little Time’): the Pittenweem-based LHF is a delight – see their 2013 Plant List here and visit their Fruit and Herb Vinegar selection here.

The East Pier Smokehouse: “We use the freshest fish and meat from places we know and trust, curing them with unique flavours and smoke them with a variety of woods. We are a small team using traditional methods and operate at the heart of St Monans fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.” See more about them right here.

Waulkmill Farm: the farm is by Charlestown, near Dunfermline (KY12 8JU) and is selling Markies and Desiree potatoes (£12 for 26kg or £6 for 12.5kg). Call 01383 872150.

For the the first time we are adding hotels, cafes and b&bs, so if you know of one near you then recommend them to us. Successful applicants get a window sticker.

If you run a hotel, shop, garden, cafe or B&B that you think qualifies, download our Food Map Application here.
