Summer is supposed to be the best time of the year for gardeners, when we finally get some fine weather and begin to enjoy the fruits of our hard work. But, as many of us find out the hard way, if you don’t keep on top of your plot at this time of year, nature will soon reclaim your carefully tended allotment!
Following on from our successful beginners workshops back in March, we’ll be hosting a Summer Grow Your Own Workshop, looking at all the essential jobs for the veg plot at this time of year. From how to weed properly, to feeding your plants, controlling pests the organic way, and planning late-season planting, we’ll help you get to grips with keeping your plot at its best.
Whether you’re yet to start growing, or have an established plot you’d like a bit of advice on, our champion grower Elly will be on hand to answer your questions. And, as always with the Fife Diet, we’ll make sure you don’t go hungry – the workshop will finish off with a group lunch of tasty, seasonal fare, hopefully enjoyed outside in the sunshine!
Booking in advance is essential – to secure your space email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, phone number, and how many places you require.
