Kailyard Ceilidh poster (3)

By Mags Hall

After much hard work last year, our vision for a community food and wildlife garden in the heart of Kirkcaldy is nearing fulfillment, with work hopefully beginning on The Kaleyard this spring. To celebrate our progress, and raise the last few funds needed for the project, the Beveridge Park Development Group are hosting a ceilidh on Saturday 2nd February, at St Brycedale Kirk Hall in Kirkcaldy. The Fife Diet will be there dishing out our famous seasonal celebration food, with music provided by the Sounds Braw Ceilidh band – we’re thinking of Jerusalem artichoke flatbreads, and some unusual ways with haggis…

The dancing kicks off at 7pm, and tickets cost £15, which includes your food. You can even bring your own drinks along at no extra cost! So dig out your dancing shoes and come along to support our latest growing initiative in your community – I’m pretty nifty at The Dashing White Seargent if anyone’s looking for a partner!  You can get tickets from the Fife Diet Office in Burntisland and also from the Greener Kirkcaldy Shop, 254a High Street, KY1 1LA,  To order tickets, or for more information, phone the Fife Diet Office on 01592 871371 or email mags@maryland.cochranfirmcriminaldefense.com.
