Do you want to work for the Fife Diet? We are looking for an exceptional person to come and join our busy team. You should be brimming with energy and ideas, well organised and passionate about food and ecology. This is a unique opportunity to work for Scotland’s award-winning food project.

We are looking for someone who can get people excited about the local food revolution, who can nurture our existing members (through a combination of community led events and social media) and who can reach new members through outreach events: gala days, pop-up cafes and other events.

This is the essential criteria we are looking for:

  • A creative approach to event organising
  • A passion for food and ecology
  • Understanding of community led development
  • Awareness of local food politics and wider food issues
  • A proactive thinker and perceptive individual
  • A team player
  • Great interpersonal skills and energy
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • A natural ability to multi-task and get things done efficiently and effectively with an eye to detail and with lots of enthusiasm
  • He or she will be social and enjoy mixing with all sorts of people from varying backgrounds
  • Willing to work some weekends and evenings

This is the desirable criteria we are looking for:

  • Cooking skills and a passion for cooking with local produce
  • Awareness of food seasonality and food carbon emissions
  • Knowledge of social media and other online tools (facebook, twitter, surveys, event organiser, blogs)

Salary: £24-26,000 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience)
