Come along and join our ‘get involved’ food demonstration ‘Bottling the Glut’ on Saturday 22nd October in Dunfermline. Learn how to make chutneys pickles and preserves and the art of bottling your surplus produce so it doesn’t go to waste.
Too much of something can be a bad thing. If you’ve made your own jams or chutneys – come along and swap them, plus any secret recipes that you have and want to share. If you haven’t made anything yet try this great Bramble Jelly recipe here, or try Granny’s Apple Chutney here, then bring it along.
If you have seeds there will be a seed swap table too.
With Fife Diet’s Louise Oliver showing Apple Butter and tasters of Courgette Relish plus Squash, Pumpkin and Ginger jam AND Zillah Scott on techniques for bottling and preserving. There will be local cheese and bread from the Steamie Bakehouse to give theses spreads something to be spreaded on.
