Blasda is the Fife Diet ‘going national’. On and around the 10th September dozens of communities will be hosting their own local food feasts up and down the country. See the map here for more info  and details of some of the groups involved.

There’s a fantastic range of groups, cafes, food producers and community projects involved from Valvona & Crolla to crofters on Skye, from a veggie feast in Moffat to an organic BBQ deal in Perthshire and everything in-between. See the Transition Black Isle group here. You can still get involved and host your own Blasda event, big or small, just email us for details. But the main thing we’re supposed to be telling you about is our Blasda Brunch…

We’re inviting anyone to come along to a presentation on what’s happening up and down the country at the JRD Trust, (9 The EsplanadeKirkcaldy) at 10.30-12.30 on Saturday 10th September, our BLASDA BRUNCH. We’ll be serving some organic Fife bacon on homemade rolls, some Fife Porridge and tea & coffee.

Plus a chance to sample from some local producers including The Little Herb Farm and Barnett’s Bakery and others.

Please let us know if your coming so we can get the food right – and we’re organising some kids activities – children are very welcome at all our events!
