So you’ve researched the sustainable species, found a local fishmonger and purchased your fresh seafood. Brilliant!…but what now? Fry, grill, bake or steam and then what to serve on the side? If you have been in this predicament let the Fife Diet help you out. Chef Christopher Trotter will be joining us at the Pittenweem Arts Festival Food in the fish market on the harbour to show how to make the most of our seafood.

Saturday 6th August 2011 – Cookery demonstrations featuring:

1pm Crab Cakes

2pm Saithe with spiced cauliflower

See the dishes being made and pick up expert hints and tips, then get it while it’s hot! We will be giving out mini tasters of what you can achieve at home using these great, local and sustainable species. Don’t forget to pick up your free recipe sheets.

3-7pm Pop along and chat to one of our team and sample some Cullen Skink with pale smoked haddock and receive a handy Marine Conservation Society Good Fish Guide.
