A common protest from those engaging with with local, seasonal eating is that they simply don’t have the skills and knowledge required to cook from basic ingredients. We aim to address this problem and I’m excited to be organising a series of workshops to encourage local folk to use local produce in their everyday cooking.
These Make and Taste workshops will be looking at a range of skills such as bread making (on a knead to know basis), cooking local food for Veggies and feeding a family on a fiver.
There are some great facilities in Fife to hold these events and I’m now looking for some great facilitators to deliver the workshops with support from myself. Are you, or do you know, a local food expert who could deliver an engaging session?
