The Real Food initiative is leading from the front, and putting food issues back into the classroom for pupils at Inverness High School. The social enterprise project has converted nearly an acre of school ground into growing space for organic vegetables, through which the pupils can learn more about food cultivation. The initiative also involves pupils selling their own produce at a variety of retail outlets that range from shopping centres to farmers markets. It aims yo enhance the curiculum and improve the school’s facilities while teaching pupils valuable life-skills.
