You have heard of Community Supported Agriculture – Fife Diet has been running Community Supported Lunches off and on for the past three years. Our next public event is part of the revived Pittenweem Gala Day celebrations on Saturday 19 June. The Fife Diet is looking for volunteers to help us run a successful Fife-only sourced lunch for as many as we can serve. If you want to help email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You don’t need any special knowledge or cooking skills.
It’s sure to be a great day – the Fisher Lad and Lass will be brought in on the restored herring drifter The Reaper, and crowned at the harbour. They will lead a procession of children in sea themed fancy dress up to the field behind the primary school, where the gala will commence from around 11.45am. The gala will include bouncy castle and slide, poetry readings for kids, kids craft activities, Natural Health event, face painting, crazy hair, model boat display, pet show, sports activities, beat the goalie, live entertainment, music, dancing, lots of stalls and much more.
