A new network and magazine have been launched today to help communities to take back control of their food. The publication, Rhubarb, is the magazine of the Local Action on Food network – which helps groups across the country share experiences and inspiration about building a better food system.
The first issue includes: Carolyn Steel imagines cities built around food, Flour Power and the real bread campaign, building peace through gardening in Northern Ireland and details of the brilliant Welfehd , project.
Ben Reynolds from Local Action on Food: “Something really special is starting to happen across the country. People are taking control of their food – where it comes from, how it’s produced and where they buy it. Local Action on Food is bringing these groups together for the first time.” More details and how to join up here. Download the first issue or subscribe
